Dry fruits, as the name suggest, are always dry. In all countries and cultures, mixed nuts are given as boxed gifts from generations. In India, dry fruits are gifted during the Diwali and Hindu New Year festivals. Dry fruits are usually packed loose in mixed varieties or packed separately in compartments within a box.

Nuts or dry fruits are all time favourites for gifting, especially during festival times. Like Chikis, these also remain fresh for longer periods.
